Timaru Floral Art Group Designer of the Year 2009

In October members of the Timaru Floral Art Group competed for the Dorothy Parker Trophy awarded to the Designer of the Year winner.

The title was 'Pavé with Panache' a table top design. The Pavé style of design was required in all entries, with a stylish addition of individual flair creating panache in a variety of ways.

Pavé
Definition:- Commonly associated with jewellery. Plant materials are placed closely together to form a flat or undulating pattern giving a cobblestone effect. * Flair – Education reference book for the Floral Art Society of New Zealand Inc. Revised edition 2007

The judge Liz Chapman, Geraldine member and National FASNZ vice –president was delighted with the standard of the sixteen designs presented for her to judge.
