“Foliage to the Fore”

A very popular theme and title for designs was “Foliage to the Fore” for a winter club competition at the Takapuna Floral Art Club. This thought provoking theme was a tremendous hit with their members and some inspiring and creative designs were staged. Valmae Cameron accompanied by Liz Konig judged the designs concluding with a very helpful evaluation of the designs.

Results were:

Me Ja Lee 1st place in Blue Ribbon Class and Creativity award. The main component of this design was shredded flax along with hours of creative patience.

Maria Baxter 1st place Intermediate Class

Valmae Cameron also demonstrated a variety of floral art table settings. Valmae’s relaxed manner and sense of humour delighted all as she showed many innovative ideas along with interesting concepts and colour effects in the many and various designs she created. The lighting of the candles at the conclusion evoked a magical feeling and Valmae received a standing ovation for her excellent presentation.
