"Tea Anyone"

Members of the Waimate Floral Art Group invited the public to Afternoon tea at the local ‘Cafe on Queen’.

A delightful afternoon tea was served on cake stands with all the trappings of Edwardian tea parties, such as silver tea service, beautiful fine china cups and accessories. The floral members all wore hats and members of the local Edwardian Group arrived dressed in their finest afternoon ensembles.

The public were given posies of violets or tussie mussies and a small gift. During the afternoon floral art members working in pairs demonstrated floral designs appropriate for the occasion.
