Creative Expressions Wearable Flora Fashions - Upper Hutt 2008

Upper Hutt Floral Art Group along with Floral Art Groups in the Wellington Area presented an outstanding wearable floral fashion show earlier this year (2008).

Two packed houses at the Expressions Theatre in Upper Hutt enjoyed an outstanding presentation of stunning floral outfits and accessories with some superb and innovative themes.

Wellington Floral Art Club presented ‘Kaleidoscope of Cultures’ which expressed the variety of cultures within their membership.

Kapiti Floral Art Club presented ‘From the Mountains to the Sea’ while Whitby Floral Art Club delighted everyone with the familiar ‘My Fair Lady’. Their presentation included street urchins who entered enthusiastically into their parts with Eliza the street girl to finally Eliza the ‘Lady'.

Johnsonville Floral Art Group presented some delightful outfits with their theme ‘Horti Couture’ and ‘Space Odyssey’ presented by the Lower Hutt Floral Art Club included some stunning outfits.

‘Love is in the Air’ was a fitting finale to the evening with a beautiful ‘wedding theme’ presentation by the Upper Hutt Floral Art Club. Two pretty flower girls and a cherubic page boy played their part along with wedding guests adorned in floral hats and carrying flora accessories adding to the occasion. The arrival of the bride and groom along with all attending the ‘wedding’ raising their glasses to a successful and enjoyable event concluded the production.
