Dorothy Turner Floral Workshops

Recently Dorothy Turner a member of Floral Designers Hamilton in the Waikato Area, and National Designer of the Year 2007, visited the South Island of New Zealand to take workshops in Canterbury and Southland.

Dorothy demonstrated a Modern Vertical Mass with emphasis on contrast of texture and form to floral art members from Canterbury and South Canterbury at Rangiora in May, 2007. In the afternoon Dorothy showed how to weave a flax holder for a handheld bouquet

Polystyrene Panels Polystyrene Panels, mounted on aluminium rods inserted into a wooden base & covered with pinned magnolia grandiflora leaves with an accent of reeds down one side. Copper roses and ivy have been inserted into an inset panel of wet floral foam. Views: 1167	Glass Phials Discs covered with white fibre on top of glass phials, attached to aluminium rods held in a wooden base. Lillies and Jasmine foliage were inserted into the glass phials. Views: 1102	Bouquet A bouquet in a covered cone includes Senecio foliage, white roses and nerines. Views: 1093
