Marie-Françoise Déprez

FASNZ were delighted to welcome to New Zealand Marie-Françoise Déprez from Bourg-en- Bresse, in France. Marie-Françoise, renowned worldwide as a highly qualified floral designer, is a teacher of floral art, international demonstrator, national judge and author of several floral art books. She has travelled to many countries in the world and received numerous national and international awards for her work. Her warm and charming manner ensured an instant rapport with those in New Zealand who enjoyed her demonstration in Tauranga or participated in workshops throughout New Zealand.

Marie-Françoise inspired all with her passion for floral design and her innovative, modern eye catching designs. Floral designers were challenged to look for new ways of improving techniques, to observe nature and to seek out new ideas for the creative use of plant material. They left the workshops, enthusiastic and highly motivated to implement into their designs, the many new techniques and concepts they had observed.
