Techniques

The term 'Technique' as it is used in Floral Design, usually refers to some sort of manipulation or unusual placement of plant material to give it a different form other than its natural one.

It is a term mainly used for modern/contemporary designing. Techniques are continually evolving with new ones being created by designers every year. It is one of the things that keeps floral design fresh and interesting for the contemporary floral artist. These images illustrate a few of the nearly 30 listed and defined Techniques currently recognized by the Floral Art Society of New Zealand.
